Potato Creek State Park Swimming Beach
Free beach with volleyball court at one end, and accessible area with ADA sidewalk and ramp from parking lot to water. Beach and bath house (with concession) open Saturday before Memorial Day to no later than Labor Day. Conditions may require beach closing before Labor Day. Beach hours are sunrise to sunset. Bath house open 11 am – 7 pm.
No lifeguards on duty. Swim at your own risk.
Note: Blue-green algae is found in the lake year round. Don’t drink the water. Shower after you swim.
Beach Rules – Potato Creek State Park Swimming Beach
- No alcoholic beverages anywhere on or around the beach area or parking lot.
- No launching of boats at the beach.
- No fishing within 200 feet of the beach.
- No tents larger than 2’ x 2’ x 2’ – it it has walls it’s a tent
- No cabanas
- No coolers on the beach
- No confetti
- No water balloons
- No climbing on trees, buildings, or rocks
- All tubes must have a hole in the center and cannot exceed 38” in diameter
- Canopies must be on grass by treeline
- Grills can only be used in designated areas, away from beach
- Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- Patrons cannot interfere with wildlife
- Patrons cannot move picnic tables or trash cans
- Patrons cannot use outlets at beach (no mini fridges, crock pots, etc.)
- Patrons cannot have watercraft of any kind on the beach or in the water between shore and the no boat buoys.
Dog Beach Rules
- Owners must clean up after their pet.
- Owners must use staircase to access dog beach.
- Owners must have control of their pet.
