Potato Creek State Park trails
At Potato Creek State Park, you can explore nearly 11 miles of hiking trails. These trails vary in difficulty from easy to rugged, offering something for everyone. Enjoy a walk through nature at your own pace and discover the beauty of the park.
Trail 1 – Potato Creek State Park Trails
2.2 miles, Moderate – The trail is near Worster Lake, passing through old fields and forests. It then returns to the Nature Center area. This scenic route offers a beautiful and peaceful hike through diverse landscapes.
Trail 2
2 miles, Rugged – Accessed either from Trail 1 or Trail 4. Winds through the woods, up and down hills. This leads to the highest point in Potato Creek State Park.
Trail 3
1 mile, Moderate – Travels along a ridge overlooking Worster Lake, passing through beech-maple forest and down to the lake observation deck.
Trail 4
2.5 miles, Moderate – Scenic path along stream through beech-maple woods, past the lake and old farm sites.
Trail 5
1 mile, Easy – Rolling trail cuts through old fields. Has a small wetland observation deck.

.5 miles, Moderate – Short loop passes wetland and woods.

.75 miles, Easy – Passes three wetland observation decks.
Peppermint Loop Trails
.9 mile, Easy – Starts at Nature Center following Trail 1 on old Peppermint Road along the lake.
Cuts through a young woods and rejoins the end of Trail 1.
